Description Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant Salary : £24,495   We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to provide day-to-day finance assistance for our purchase ledger team.
This role involves data input, filing, and reconciliation of supplier statements.

Key Responsibilities - Entering invoices into the accounts payable system - Processing payments and maintaining supplier records - Checking and verifying invoices and credit notes - Addressing supplier queries and reconciling orders and invoices from College suppliers - Importing student payments into the accounting system - Processing weekly payment runs for suppliers - Collaborating with the Student Finance team to facilitate bursary payments - Providing cover for the Accounts Payable Team Leader and cash office assistant when necessary Essential Criteria 5 GCSE's A*-C including English Language and Mathematics High standard of IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages Previous experience of using a computerised accounting packages At least six months experience of working in a busy, customer-focused finance office environment.
Experience of handling cash/credit transactions.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills and abilities.
Excellent oral communication and inter-personal skills in order to work effectively with suppliers and staff.
Professional, enthusiastic and positive with the ability to stay calm under pressure and use own initiative.
Able to complete work to deadlines and manage own workload.
