Account Manager - Corporate Comms And Public Affairs (3 Daysleft)

We are working with one of the largest and most established communications and PR businesses in the UK, with a focus on Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.
This position will be based in their office in Cheltenham (with flexible working in place) and focused on Public affairs and communications campaigns around infrastructure & the built environment.
The Account Manager will own the campaign strategies, lead and motivate the team and ensure quality on each account.
Main responsibilities - Contribute on a strategic level to a clients' business, showing an understanding of the commercial environment and the issues which may affect business.
- Dealing with all aspects of a campaign/project and driving it forward.
- Leading and ensuring the delivery of the communications plan, meeting agreed goals and highlighting performance issues, applying the right evaluation, measurement and reporting systems.
- Prepare and present plans/recommendations to existing clients.
- Take an active interest in new business activity, networking for leads and playing a part in the pitch process as well as drafting new business documents.
- Manage 'incidents' and monitor crises relatively unaided by a Director.
- Lead and train other members of the account team.
- Manage the work of Account Executives, delegate, brief, monitor progress and ensure a high quality of delivery.
- Conduct client meetings and take responsibility for driving a portfolio of accounts forward simultaneously.
- Maintaining regular contact with the client (by phone) and building long-term relationships based on trust and value.
