Account Assistant - Part Time

Accounts Assistant We are working with an industry leading client based in South Shropshire going through a period of sustained growth, seeking an Accounts Assistant on a part-time, permanent or temporary to permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will support the financial department with daily administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy across financial records and reports, with the ability to extract and manipulate data across a range of systems.
What you can expect: * Salary: up to £25'350 - pro rata based on experience * Hours: 15 – 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday – with some flexibility * 23 days of holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays with additional time off over Christmas * Office based with on going training and support What you will be doing: * Processing and recording financial transactions accurately * Posting sales receipts into the accounts system * Purchase ledger invoice entry * Handling queries from clients and vendors regarding financial matters * Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring * Conducting basic financial analysis * Extraction of data and reports operating across CRM systems, Excel (pivot tables) What we are looking for: * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting software * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn * Previous experience in a finance or accounting role * A degree or qualification in finance or accounting and knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements would be beneficial but not essential Recruitment Direct are working as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy, you must be able to prove your legal right to work in the UK to apply
