The RoleNHS Lanarkshire are looking to recruit a MINTS Major / Minor Practitioner.
As part of a multidisciplinary team you will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and / or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
You will assess presenting conditions, initiation of investigations, determination of differential diagnosis, initiate treatment and where appropriate discharge patients., review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff in order to confirm differential diagnosis and advise on discharge/referral and in the absence of the Team Leader for MINTS the post holder will have responsibility for the management of the MINTS Service including supervision, development and deployment of junior staff.

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of Minor injuries.Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with this speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within this speciality / area of practice.Leadership skills to ensure optimum day to day management of the service.Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification.The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative.Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.Effective time management skillsWorking knowledge of basic information technology.Contract typeFixed Term or Secondment until 31/03/2025Part Time28.2 hoursPlease note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.Please note this is a fixed term post until 31/03/2025.
Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment.
The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
