Successful candidates will be expected to work ina flexible way to cover a 7-day working week.This role willbe supported by Senior Occupational Therapists offering supervision support andtraining.
A thorough induction including a supernummery period will beprovided.
Main duties of the job The post holder will work in a variety ofclinical areas, specialising in each area for a period of six months.To manage a defined clinical caseload, withsupport and supervision of Senior Occupational Therapist.
To work in partnership with patients, carersand the multidisciplinary team to identify relevant goals.
To conduct the assessment, treatment andevaluation of patients, documenting input and communicating as appropriate withhospital based Multidisciplinary Team and partner agencies.The post holder will be a key player in theplanning of safe and effective patient discharges appropriate to the clinicalarea.To activelyparticipate in continual professional development (CPD).To take someresponsibility for work experience, observational students and support staff.To advocate and promote the profession withinthe trust, with patients and within the local area.
